getting mine asap. If you paint your arches, you also need a clear bra on this as it picks up rocks as well. My whole JCW front bumper is paint along with arches so I am having the whole front done and the arches. Clear bra aint cheap, but rock chips are annoying...

I have one. Once they fit it, give it a week or so, and see which parts don't adhere to the car. Take it back, get those bits cut out and you'll be fine. One thing they didn't tell me was to use the polish they give you to clean the edges of the bra. Spray it on a rag, and rub it along the edges. Don't want the dirt to build up too long!

Aside from that, often times when I look at the car, I forget it's even on there.

I do. I have a friend with one on her justa cooper and it has been badly pitted by road flying pebbles. But, if it was pitted, the paint would be so it's a win.
My 20 lb shiba-mix inexplicably tried to jump on the bonnet of my clubbie last week. There are some small scratches in the mask, but I think the paint is fine. Again, a win.

I had the full "clear bra" on my '07 MINI S for 18 months/36,000 miles of highway driving, and I have it on my '09 Clubman as well - 1,800 miles so far in the last six weeks. Can't hardly see it unless you're up close and looking for the edges - it is the only sensible way to keep your front end chip-free if you do highway driving.

Never had the clear bra/mask on my '05. One nasty stonechip which was really a piece of asphalt that fell from an asphalt truck coming towards me as he went over a bump. no other chips in 25k mi of driving. The new clubbie has one from day one.

I've had one on mine since purchase 6 months ago. I wash my car pretty regularly and it looks exactly like new. I will have this on every car I buy from now on. You cannot see it without close examination and it removes all anxiety of road debris and paint chips. I *highly* recommend it.

I do, too. There are many on the board who have...they're just not either as active on NAM now or they'd post. You can search "clear bra" and see a bunch of posts/threads.

Had mine installed yesterday after 300 miles (1 week old) and I already had 3 significant chips in my race stripes. Luckily the installer took a left over piece and re-did the stripes before he installed the 3M clear film.

I had a partial (1/3) hood installed on my S2000 and the only place it has chips is above the film towards the windshield and 3 spots where he couldn't get the film to adhere due to curvature. That's after 50,000 miles and over 60 aggressive open track events.

Got mine on the front (lower hood), mirror caps, and back bumper top of the Clubman. No issues here. I'm considering getting it on the front pillars as well.

I also have a full mask. ProForm in Ellicott City, MD installed it including front bumper, headlights and side mirrors. I made an appointment and job was done in less than 2 hours. There was one 1/2" spot on the hood that was sort of a whitish color and i was told if it did not go away in a week, that he would replace the whole mask. Well, I tried squeezing out the water out of the few bubbles I had but that one whitish spot did not go away. It seemed a shame to have the whole mask replaced for this one small area, so i called and asked if they could just cut out that one 1/2" area and put new matl in it's place. But when i brought it back, they replaced the whole mask ! Excellent job ! I have had it now for about 3 1/2 months. Looks great and easy to clean.

I have it installed on my 05 S. 114,000 miles later it's still looking good. I think it's worth having installed. I'd do it again.

Invisible Pics

The real joy of the clear bra is that you can't see it, but here are some pics of mine all the same:

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ml#post2642239

A few more here too:

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...437-post5.html

I have the full front treatment - from below the fogs to up past the intake scoop. No covers on the headlights though. You can only see the line on the hood if you are right up next to it, or know exactly what to look for.
