I had it put on my 2010 S before I even took delivery.

My dealer did the entire front, headlamps, foglamps, scoop, mirror caps, top of back bumper, and on the sides of the car, where those black magnetic protectors usually attach, they did those entire areas.

see if you can see it... lol.....

Oh yeah, and they also did the edges of all the doors, in case we open them into anything :D

XPEL

My Clubman had XPEL installed by the dealer as a 'demo' for the product, so I'm sure I overpaid. Unfortunately, I wanted to buy a 2009 in stock to take advantage of the Mini financing rate/dealer incentives... and this was the one I wanted! Fortunately, this sounds like a great product. The front bumper of my previous Mini was covered in rock chips.

I have bumpers, half-hood, mirrors, and door edges protected. You can only see the seam on the hood when you really look for it.

Which is better, the mask that is available thru the MINI dealer or thru a third party?

Hi there, I had one installed. I now have 29k of Highway miles and I would highly recommend it. The nose of the car would be all chipped and pitted if it wasn't for this. Without a doubt my next car will have one as well.

Cheers!

Nearly 70K miles of highway driving on mine and no chips on the paint. And dead bugs haven't eaten away at it either. Worth every penny.

Ok. Time for someone to say the opposite.

I don't have the mask. I checked the prices and then checked out my level of anxiety of stone chips.

I have never had one on any car I have owned, and honestly, have never been over concerned about a small paint blemish.

So, for those who have the mask, everyone appears happy. But, it is neither essential nor critical to enjoy the car.

But then again, I may be wrong.

Living in "chip 'n seal hell" (North Texas) I am about to have two installed on our Clubmans this weekend. Paid 2 x $190 for entire front end with headlights, mirrors and door guards but the installation price is being negotiated (hopefully $150 for both cars due to my offer to 'help')

I suspect this will be an important addition to the car and believe that it will go a long way to maintaining the appearance of the car.

Regards.
