Banana gloss

just waxed my clubman with Prima banana gloss. Super easy to apply, comes off without any "powder", & it looks great & is super slick. Good stuff.

how do you use it? Does it go last after Swirl, Amigo, and Epic, in that order?

I'm a novice at this. I just wash the car about once a week. When I dry it I use Hydro - more good stuff. Just got the banana gloss & tried it. will probably use once a month or more. Haven't got the Epic yet. Detail forum can give you lots more info than I can.

I just spent 10 hours over two days with Prima products and a porter cable polisher, trying to hone my detailing skills on my Lexus while I wait for my Clubman. Never occurred to me to get the Banana Gloss and am very very happy with results from Swirl, Amigo, and Epic (with Hydro on hand and ready for the next wash). I'll research Banana Gloss a bit more. Thanks.

I use the Banana Gloss all the time. It's like the turtle wax ice in that you can use it in direct sun or hot temps. Just put on and wipe off. It also will not make your black plastic white if it gets on it. It lasts about 45-60 days.

I have found most products to be more hype than anything else - until this weekend. Used Prima products from Swirl to Epic and a PC buffer on a 10 year old truck that has been outside and washed (only) twice in the past 2 years -- I'm very inpressed with this stuff - even used it on a 5 year old lawn tractor - faded red - with unreal results. Tried Banana Gloss on my Solstice - NICE! Great products!
Oh, my MA emailed - week 41!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on getting your week confirmed, featherblu. Now the fun starts with tracking the mini!

I had a similar experience using the Swirl, Amigo, and Epic. My Lexus has long been neglected - I blame my kids for sucking all the energy out of me, leaving nothing left over to wash cars! Now that they are a bit older and easier to manage, I am going to regularly take care of not only my mini, but also my two older cars. The Lexus had a LOT of swirls everywhere, and had not been waxed for a LONG time. I saw a huge difference afterwards. No more swirls. All shallow scratches gone. I could have taken out the deeper ones with the pc, but didn't want to be too aggressive with the old paint. After two coats of Epic, the Lexus looks like a new car again!

Layering any product will insure a more even coverage. But as it is very easy to see where BG has been applied, as it goes cloudy/white, there is not much need to. I don't think it will last any longer, so don't waste it on layering, just do another application every 4-6 weeks.
