Roof recall issue...change roof from blue to black?

I have a cool blue cabrio...dark blue leather interior (kinda wish I had cloth)...black bonnet stripes...blue mirror caps, but I'll be adding chrome soon.

Right now my top is blue, but it sounds like what with my wear marks, the dealer may offer to install a new roof.

I was thinking of switching to black...I like the idea of the black top matching the other black parts of the car...plus the car may look less monotone...I have a lot of blue.

Any thoughts?

Anyone have cool blue and a black roof?

I've been to the Mini web site to build a cabrio with the black top, but the views are rather limited.

Thanks...

I like the black better, just my opinion though, Unfortunately I have no pictures of my wife's top up for you to see the black.

That's the issue...there another nearby thread discussing it...basically the dealer has been replacing folks tops because of those wear marks and/or making some kind of change to the mechanicals to keep those wear marks from getting worse or showing up in the first place.

Are they doing this for all cabrio models regardless of year? I'm taking in my '06 cabrio for some service this Thursday and noticed some white markings on both sides right above the rear window. Hopefully they'll be able to take care of it for me.

Hey MiniMac2005... Have you got the TSB for the crescent shaped scratches on the back windows? I'd like to bring that in too, when I go in for servicing...

Thanks,

Charles

Mine goes in tomorrow for new glass. The SA said it'll take a few hours, becuase it's the first one they've done (don't think it is but....) At least my extended warranty through them is getting me a loaner.
