FINALLY got a Mini

Hello All. I just purchased my 2006 Pepper White Mini Convert. I had to sell my long time toy (Pontiac Fiero) because I could not get both kids in it to take joy rides. I had always liked the Minis and it fits in the same small parking spot the old Fiero did, (with sevral inches of new free garage space) and the entire family fits in it. I shopped for months and by accident came upon this car that was my first color choice, so it was meant to be!This car rocks. I am blown away by how fun they are to drive.I will be posting some dumb questions so all you Mini experts can educate me. Thanks for the great forum!!!!

Congrats and welcome! Yep... Most fun you can have in 12 ft of garage space for a family of four...

Welcome! I picked up my first MINI (2009 MCS Convertible) in June and I love this car. A very good friend just bought a 2006 MCS Convertible and also loves the car. It is hard to explain to someone why these cars are so different and so much fun - but it will not keep you from trying . Happy Motoring!!!

Click on Sig-o-Matic in the menu on the home page and you can build a signature that will appear on your posts. It took me a bit to find where to do this on this site.

New to forum...and new to Minis...Whoopie!!!

Hey folks,

Tomorrow night my wife and I go to pick up her darn-near-new '07 Mini Cooper S convertible from a long-time friend who bought it new but needs to pare back in these crazy times. All we know is that it's superchaged, 6-speed manual, has Kardon sound, and it's a dark blue cute little ROCKET!!

Since new, it's been a weekends-only play car, and only has 9,500 miles on the clock. We've test-driven it, immediately fell in lust, and immediately went home and sold our BMW X3 to get the mini....okay, so we're impulsive old farts, but the two grandsons (5 and 3) will have a blast buzzing around with Nana and Pops! What can I say?

When we get it home Saturday, I'll post some pictures and let you all tell me what we've got...and we'll learn from there!

Thanks,

JR's ole man

Greetings from Norway :-)

Greetings fellow Mini-fans!
I was searching the internet looking for information about Hi-fi sound system in my newly aquired Mini convertible when I stumbled upon this site. Of course I had to join NAM.com and check out the conditions for mini-enthusiasts in Obama-land

Anyone with the old type Mini out there? Convertible?

Kinda nice around AthensTown with everyone down in Jax licking their wounds from today's shellacking by Tebow and Company....Heisman winner vs. 5th year Sr/1st year starter = inevitable outcome!

Got our Mini home today...and mom-in-law immediately named it:

Bullwinkle! Now that's funny!

Hello,
Just bought an 06 MCS Cabrio, Cool Blue, 30K miles 10/25. Mods since purchase, Craven 15%, JCW Exhaust, Alta CAI, H&R Springs, Alta 22MM Rear Sway Bar, and soon a Revolution Mini Works Cam & new injectors, and a custom tune. I also got a wind deflector, love it!!! The Ipod Interface, glove box organizer, S Rubber Boot Mat, and even some S Valve Stem Caps. Silly huh??

Fellow Cabrio owners, my name is Rocketman. I took ownership on my Mini Cabrio 1 week ago. Since I am in northern Ohio, I can't drive it until the salt has washed off the roads, so it is going to be sitting in my garage teasing me for at least another 2 months!
Just joined the forum and already realize that this is a great place. I am looking forward to getting to know everybody, and learning about my Mini!
