Seat compatibility

Will R53 rear seats (bottom and backs) install into an R52?

I am looking to upgrade to the English Leather and need to know so that I can widen my search to include R53.

Thanks!

Would have been a bummer to buy R53 seats and find out they will not fit. This limits my options now on searching the junk yards...

You may be better off financially to have them reupholstered, then you can just find the front seats out of either a 50/52/53 as long as it is the same configuration as yours. (heated seats, airbag, occupancy sensor, etc)

So I know the rear seat backs are different, but does anyone know if the rear seat bottoms are interchangeable between hardtops and R52s?

Have you tried Real OEM to see if the part numbers are the same?

Not interchangeable. It's very obvious if you look inside a hardtop and a convertible. The entire rear area is narrowed to accommodate the roof mechanism and motorized rear windows.
