R52 CAI Filter Clean/Oil Help
Greetings,
I am a proud owner of a 2007 Cooper S Convertible...having the top down is amazing! I purchased it a few days ago and would like to know more about the CAI.
The car has a Madness Motorworks CAI (http://www.madnessmotorworks.com/mad...ld-air-intake/.
I'd like to know more about cleaning and oiling the filter but seem to keep finding threads that talk about why you should get a different kind of filter.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for being kind to a newbie...I'll learn to search better...I promise!

Yes you need to wait to clean it. We often see customers that want to clean it every 5k miles and that just breaks down the filter material. Let the filter get dirty and clean it every 25-30k miles.
for that filter there you can use the K&N filter cleaning kit
