Hello every body
and i hope to get help

Just I replaced the cables latch & front lock with OEM new parts
Then when I finished I try to open it

The sun roof opening fine but when I tried to open top with the second press on push switch
The another close switch blanking with red light

Locks not working full closed & open
Top not open
check above video pls


Any help comments pls ?

Now the lock completely open with windows but after the switch now blinking red after lock open and top not open

Now it's working fine after I make adjust for lock sensor

Make sure both latches unlock. There is a green hall sensor that detects when the top is back. Also I would make sure the pump has power , when the top makes that second phase , the cables goes back a little more then then the latches open up.


Your latches should not open till it gets to that second phase. When you push the button the second time, something is not right. See the operation in the linked videos.

What did you do? What lock sensor? My car has the same problem, please advise.

 

Hello dear

First thing check the shilf in trank back side if it's correct in position

If its ok try to make adjust for lock sensor - that is location on top of the sunroof motor

Try to move it little right or left
Then check

Did you remove the sunroof motor? Or did you adjust it with the top open, or....?

There is no documentation about the lock sensor in alldata, BMW TIS or anything.

I just remove the top cover
There's one sensor on top the sun roof motor , on cable way
Open the scrow and move it liitle right or left and check
The lock it will be change when you close and open sun roof

This is making me excited...My top has been inop for about a year and half. Sunroof works, convertible top works, but it just refuses to open after the latches unlock. Once I "push" the top by 1", the convertible top kicks in and it retracts.

 

I believe you are talking about the upper microswitch. At the end of #1 . Up by the motor in the overhead fro the sunroof portion.

Yes that's is
When make adjust for this switch
The lock will change for more locking or lose lock
