D, Great pics, very jealous! This may be a silly question but will the public be able to get in the car during normal show hours?

Nice find.

i dont really like the look...especially with the top up..i guess if you were really into convertibles i can see what you would like.

They should sell though for sure.

Oh and i love the new Headlight Design!!!

Good show, old man! However, I'm afraid to say that with the top either up or down, something about the Mini look is lost in translation. I'll bet it will be a gas to drive
around with the top down though.

From the pictures, I just noticed the mis-match in the interior trim.
The interior trim appears to be Anthracite, but the trim on the 3-spoke is silver!?
I know on 04s and earlier cars there are other bits and pieces that are silver when you order anthracite, but in the convertible those pieces appear to be chrome. Therefore there appears to be a mix of anthracite, silver, and chrome pieces throughout the interior....... I thought that is a bit weird.

What do you guys think!?

I like the orange, liked it the first time I saw it!

Though I agree that the Cabrio doesn't have that special MINI look!

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

Dennis,
We need to plan a leave time for next weekend. I might join you at the show again but it depends on how much work I get done with my friend on Saturday.

P.s. New Suspension goes on this week

I can't believe Ford could take the memory of a beautiful car like the original Shelby Cobra and turn it into such an ugly thing.

Was there Friday. MINI still has a great sense of humor.

On the windshield header bewtween the visors was an official yellow/black caution type sticker:

"ATTENTION: Do you really need to put the top up?"

Regards,
Red

Yes. There was more than one, and even though it was crowded, no problem sitting in one. Opened and closed the boot, too.

Red

D,

Thanks for the many pictures. We will have to wait and see what the MINI cabrio looks like in person.

Meanwhile steer clear of student drivers-

Have you seen it in person?
I saw it at Detroit and I liked it a lot better when I saw it in person.

Perhaps you're right and I would like the new Cobra better in person. The pictures look like they lost the look that made the original Cobra look as fast sitting still as it actually was......but maybe not.

On the other hand, the pictures of the new Mustang look great. Was it at the show also?

what's the deal with the element (i think?) on the 2nd link at the very end..

D- is that the element you bought?

do i detect low profiles on an element.. if so.. might that be strange on a car that seems to be geared towards rugged use and offroad nonsense.. (discernable by the tent attachment sold by dealers )
