Good deal: 2008 S Sidewalk Cabrio 24K miles, less than $22K

Just saw this at California dealers- CPO 2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible - $21993.

Maybe someone can negotiate even lower price or some free goodies. The only downside is it appears to have Automatic transmission, but still - good deal.

If I was in the market for one - I would get it myself.

CVT's are a nightmare...

If it's an automatic with only 24k on the clock, I'd probably stay away from it, but that's just me.

I test-drove one with 65k that had a basket-case for an auto tranny, and did a bunch of research on it to learn about the CVT, which stands for Constant Velocity Transmission.

It's a great concept that just isn't durable enough yet for market use imho...the only manufacturer that hasn't had disasters with them is Nissan, and they just released a tsb to handle their problems with the '08 Rogue.

Keep looking...we found our 6-speed -'07 from friends who wanted to trim their budget...only 10k on the clock, and got it for right at $19k.

The car for sale is an S (btw, seems to be no longer listed). The CVT was only used for the non-S. The auto tranny on an S is a 6 spd Aisin.
