07 MCSc options question

Hello everybody, new to this forum and, I am looking at a 07 Cabrio with 12,500 miles on it and I need to know how to check what options came with it (i.e. sports, premium, cold weather, etc.). Is there a tag somewhere on the vehicle that will tell me what options the car originally came with? I know it has 17 inch wheels and xenon headlights, heated seats, cruise control. I know that these options were available separately and not necessarily part of a package. Is there anybody who has any information that would help me. I'm getting it long-distance from a dealer and he really doesn't know much about the Mini.

Get the VIn Number off the car, I am sure someone here can run it for you and give you all the information on it

The Vin number is: WMWWRH33507TL94792 I hope that helps. I myself have no way of decoding it. Thanks for the advice.

I know a lot of American cars have a build sheet that comes with the vehicles. Does anybody know if Mini has anything similar? Thanks again for your help

If you go by or contact a MINI dealer (parts or service dept) they can take your VIN # and print the build order for you. Most will do this for free as it takes them all of 60 seconds to do this. My wife's BMW 530 was bought used and not even from the dealer - but they were glad to print out the info for me. It is all in the computer data base for your VIN #

That's a good idea. The car should be here tomorrow! Can't wait. I tried contacting the original dealer that sold the car (Hank Aaron BMW) but apparently they've gone out of business. Maybe Global Imports can help me

I bought mine at Global. Hank Aaron became MINI of South Atlanta 770-969-0755. Any dealer anywhere can do it as the info is on the BMW system tied to your VIN.

I definitely have to visit global anyway because I need a backup key. So far we're really happy with the car. Because I'm a quadriplegic I live through my wife's experiences so I'm always asking her about the car and how it rides etc. I'm thinking of replacing the front grill. I think it would look better in black mesh. Because it's a O7' gen1 I'm assuming that the 2006 grill will fit mine.

I think you are right - since the '07 cab is based on the first generation MINI I'd bet the grill would fit. I like both looks but I really like the black grill on my '09 MCS convertible. Good luck
