bonnet/latch light remains lit?

The bonnet/rear trunk indicator light remains lit. I have checked the bonnet, checked the trunk and checked the convertible... does anyone have any ideas or has anyone had this problem. I pushed in the button on the trunk left side... but that doesn't make the light go out. Along with remaining lit.... at times the indicator lights begins to flash???
Any help would be appreciated.

I have this problem occasionally. Even though the trunk is closed, the sensor (the button on the trunk left side) does not "think" that it is. To remedy the situation, this is what I do: open the trunk and pull slightly on the sensor button. Then I close the trunk with !!force!! That's it. Hope this helps....

This is a warranty issue as well. So if it bugs you enough, go to the dealer, and they have a replacement latch they will hook you up with.

It turns out it was a bad bonnet latch sensor - it was under warranty and the dealer replaced it n/c.

All's well.
