Keyless Entry NO SOUND

Hello,

I have a 08' MINI Cooper. Everything are great.

I have the Keyless Entry (No alarm system), everytime I use my remote to unlock/Lock my MINI, only the turn signal lights flashing, but no horn (NO SOUND).

Is it possible to program it and have the horn working when I unlock/ lock my MINI?

Thanks!!

Ken

On the '09, it is page 20 in the owner's manual, under "setting comfirmation signals". It is in the "Controls" section.

I assume the '08 Owners would be very similar, if not exactly the same. But the answer is .... yes, you can set audio confirmation.

I asked the same question to my MA when taking delivery of the car. And he told me only cars with alarm system can have audible notifications. (but I'll still go and check my owners' manual)

confirmed - I don't have the alarm system. And the audible alarm option does not appear in the Mini setup menu. Only "visible" or "none". The OM does say that it can be audible too, but there is a little "*" besides that choice, meaning it comes only with optional accessory. In this case, alarm system. Too bad
