Rain Inside and Electrical Problems

E-yikes. I just had the weirdest thing happen: I left my MINI with the top down and went into a club--stupidly, didn't realize that it rained really hard and fast. She was soaked through and through when we came out.

On the way home, first the top started opening on its own. The sunroof opened, I closed it; it opened again and again. When I stopped at a red light, the top went completely down. Then the horn started blaring! At first, I could push on the horn control and it would stop, then it sounded continuously! I had to pull the fuse for the horn to make it stop.

Needless to say I am a bit freaked out by this behavior. Has anybody else had this experience? Will she be okay after she gets good and dry in the sunshine tomorrow?

With that much water in the car, I'd reccomend taking the carpets out to dry. I'm sure there is quite a bit of water there. Not getting all the water out will lead to mold and mildew smell. NO BUENO. Sorry but I would take out the carpet.

The floor mats were soaked but the carpet underneath is really not that bad.

My bigger concern is the electrical--she seems willing to keep the top up this morning but, when I popped the horn fuse back in, it starts blaring non-stop again...I am praying this is not some huge problem.
