Lousy sun visors

I know I'm not the first to complain about this, but the sun visors in the MCS are awful. They are too small, and with no telescoping feature you can't extend them back on the side window to do anything. Most cars have telescoping visors these days (I think?). Anybody bought or made telescoping visors for a Mini? Perhaps visors from another car would fit. If not, it's a great idea for any of you "engineering" types to develop. I think they'd sell as an aftermarket item. Anyone??

Coupes come with a side visor...it may just be a cabrio thing. It is amazing what the aftermarket does not have what might be really useful.

cabrio thing.... those of us who drive with the top down 90% of the time just learn to look at the sun... and own good sunglasses.

Though I have certainly thought I time or two about how nice a bigger / extendable visor would be. But using anything bigger than what's on there with the top down would just look goofy... not that I care what other people think.... as I drive in the 30's with the top down and the windows up...

They are pitifully small and useless on all the new MINIs..........one of the few things that bugs me about my car. Fortunately I rarely drive at the time or in the direction where sun glare is a problem for me......

I thought the later model Minis had an extending visor. I drive south in the morning and north at night so the sun is always to my left. I had a 50% tint put on the front windows and 75% on the reads. Works good but, a visor would be better.

My '05 MCS has a driver's side visor. Of course, it's not a convertible.

I totally agree...

You are quite correct about the sun visors being inadequate.

I found this at my local Advanced Auto Parts store.

http://www.amazon.com/Axius-Multi-Vi.../dp/B000UH7CF4

The straps will have be shortened to fit around the existing visor, but looks like it might work well.

But does it extend so when you flip it to the side it is actually able to block the sun from hitting your face, not just the steering wheel????
