Anyone of the taller nature, experience difficulties with seeing out the front windshield beyond the rearview mirror? I find that the mirror REALLY gets in the way of my viewing space, especially when cornering. I had 2 instances where I cornered hard and realized that another car was there, where I was going. First one was a near close encounter of the MINI being written off nature.
Another time was kinda funny. I started taking the longer way to work to get in some twisty cornering to and from work. I never noticed this one stop sign at this one intersection. I would turn right from one light controlled intersection, onto a street about 20ft in length before the next intersection, controlled by a stop sign that I never saw until I had a friend with me. When I was taking the corner at the 1st intersection, the mirror would block the stop sign at the next intersection all the way down the 20ft or so of the street, to the intersecting point, where I had to turn. I never saw the damn thing, until my buddy one day goes, "Whoa....WHOA!!, WTF?" I had to stop, turn around and go back to see for myself that there was a sign there. All that time prior to that day, I was just blasting through that point. And then realized why I was getting looks, and such from other drivers.
But after today, I'm wondering if there's another way too see everything out my front windshield without having to rip off the mirror or have to crank my neck over to the right to see where I'm aiming my car at.
Anyone with aftermarket seats: Is there noticeable lowered seating placement inside when sitting down? Maybe different seats are the answer. I'm maxed out for electric downward seat placement on my seat right now. Traffic light controlled interesections are kind of a pain as well. Have to stop far enough before the intersection to see the lights. Otherwise I'm cranking my neck down and upward to see them. But other than that, no complaints as far as comfortable driving goes, unless someone sits behindd me.
Cheers,

Simple recipe for excitement: Take 1 new MINI. Throw in 1 supercharger. Add 6 gears. A dash of 91 Octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan. And finally, heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 MINI Cooper'S' and full satisfaction. Motor on!!
