I did the Fall Foliage run last Sunday with clubs from TN, AL and GA and it was really great...My GF was in Austin withe her daughter and around every turn I sain Jeanne would love this and that.... the route was gorgeous..... So yesterday we went and drove it by ourselves and she loved it.... I could not find the original thread to post this to but i wanted to thank "Rawhyde" et al for the route... Jeanne said "only a local could find this" she wants to buy a farm up there.....
Thanks again
off to Dragon country today

About halfway through the farmland portion of the drive, I stopped looking at the scenery, and started watching for "Land For Sale" signs!
Maybe we can do a NAM group buy?
I loved the one leaf-covered, twisty road with the switchbacks, but the houses in that area had guest houses that had garages that had toolsheds that were bigger than most homes. We need to drive back up there to that neighborhood and ask if anyone is looking to adopt a 40-year old

I'm glad you got to come make the run again! I started to PM you last night to see if you came up again. The weather cooperated well too!
I think buying a farm up here is a good idea! I went to college in Atlanta so I know my way around (somewhat), but I don't think any employer could pay me enough to leave this area to go back to live and work down there.
