R50/53 What Lives In Your Garage With Your MINI?
#76
My '05 Mini Cooper is joined by our '99 Passat wagon, 5 sp. turbo(anti-minivan). Our '01 Odyssey sits outside during the warm months. When winter comes the Mini gets covered, turned sideways and stored in the corner, then the van can be pulled in 3/4 of the way. This keeps the snow scraping to a minimum. The Mini comes back out in Feb. for a little trip down to Daytona!!!

Stacks of Hardy Plank siding, for the 1/2 of the house my husband has not finished, pella windows for the back of the house, IPE (pronounce ee-payh) wood decking for the remainder of my front porch, a 40-some inch walk-behind mower that doesn't get used since some nice fella named Rojelio drops by weekly to cut the grass, a power washer, 3 bikes, 2 scooters, lacrosse and badminton equipment, camping stuff, multiple ladders, boogie boards, beach tents...you know, normal stuff for a garage.
But we get the MINI in there, no problem.
The 2006 Subaru Outback and 1998 Volvo V70 tough it out in the driveway. They have lots of leaf poop on them right now.

Not many cars, that's for sure.
The metal working stuff - big mill and lathe, the three welding set-ups.
The big air compressor.
The wood working stuff - the big planer, the little planer, the table saw, the radial arm saw, the finishing benches. The small spray booth.
The 6' Snap-On box, filled with tools. The engine cherry picker.
Two very expensive bicycles (his). The Mini (mine) in the one stall with an opener - the one that used to belong to the race cars. The other 2.5 stalls don't have an opener because they are for tools. The other cars live in the driveway or the sideyard.

Well, my Mini isn't in Alaska yet - but these are the vehicles it will share garage (and driveway) space with:
1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4, 4.0L I6, flame red, 5.5" lift, 31x10.5R15 tires
1999 Dodge Dakota Sport+ 4x4, 5.2 V8, intense blue
1984 Volvo 760 GLE Turbo Diesel <-- trying to sell this car to make room for the Mini!
1999 Yamaha Big Bear 4x4 ATV
2006 Suzuki DRZ-400S dual-sport motorcycle
