Dobby got his first boo-boo :( Need advice on how to get fixed...
Yep, it finally happened. A major boo-boo on poor Dobby. I was backing up, and I didn't know that there was a freaking pole sticking straight up, and WHAM. I hit it real good. The bumper I think is irrepairable. (I'll see about taking a picture later and posting it). There is a hole punched in the bumper. Maybe about the size of a quarter.
What steps should I take to getting it fixed, and how much should it cost?? Does it make a difference that I have a retired color?

From a financial perspective, it may or may not make sense to turn a claim into your insurance company. Depends on several factors, some of which are:
--What is your collision deductable and how does it relate to the cost of the repair ?
--How will an at-fault accident impact your premium ? Will you get surcharged ? Will you lose an accident-free or good-driver discount ?
As far as the color being discontinued... shouldn't be an issue at any reputable body shop. Maybe someone in your area will chime in with the name of a good shop you can use.
U actually smacked your bumper "cover." Check with your local MINI dealer (or Classic) and find out where aero kits are installed. Sometimes these places have extra stock/oem bumper covers laying around from aero kit installs, and can fit U right up. And any reputable body shop should be able to match the color with the rest of your car.
Same happened to me where a car jock backed into my S at a dealership. The body shop did all the dealer's aerokit installs, and they had at least 6 OEM S bumper covers laying around gatheriing dust.
If not, call Classic, tell them you're a NAM member--25% discount--and see how much an OEM bumper cover will run U (make sure and save your black inserts.) Then take it to a paint shop, and they're not that hard to put on.

Maybe you oughta take a second, let your head catch up to your tongue before it gets all sunburnt. That was a joke, son, I say - a joke! Nice boy, but he's about as sharp as a sack o' wet mice.
Yeah, Classic is fairly close to me. I've been up there twice in the last month for little issues. They are so great up there. And I know about mentioning that I'm a NAM member.
See, it's like, I want to save money, but I want convenience as well, and I also want a good job done. I'm so afriad of paint mismatch!
Hey, sequence, what are the black inserts that you mentioned?
I'm hoping someone from the Akron/Cleveland area will chime in here. Do you think Classic could recommend someone? Maybe even make arrangements to have the bumper cover delivered, or am I asking for a lot?
Thanks guys!!

Please do not feel too bad about doing something like that. Years ago, I pull off the road into a Church parking [gravel], must of been several acres.
Turn around and backed up so I could look back up the country road.
D@$* telephone pole centered the bumper of the pick-up.
