Thanks to all for the nice words. The black bumper inserts are factory. In 04 Cooper buyers had the choice of chrome, black, or no inserts at all which were body colored. And hey "nolimit", I was raised in Alaska. Nome, Juneau and college at UA Fairbanks (UAF). I think it is so cool that you took a MINI to Alaska. I would be so worried about service and parts it would drive me crazy? You should take a pic of your car in front of the Santa Claus house in N. Pole this Xmas! Just an idea. Cheers!
