My wife and I just went to see our new MC BRG/W (we hope to take delivery this Saturday). My wife noticed some pretty decent scratches on the fuel door and on the passenger door. !!
My guess is that these scratches could be buffed out, but do I really want to do that on a brand new car? Maybe it's not a big deal. Anyone else have a similar experience? Any ideas on what I should ask for from the dealer to rectify this? (FYI-the car is in an offsite storage lot, so we couldn't ask the dealer on the spot.)
This will be my first brand new car; I can't believe it's scratched before I even own the thing!!
Sounds like someone tried to siphon whatever gas was in the tank.

Take photos using the date function. Ask the dealership to provide a very thorough detailing. If the scratches are not removed from being buffed, they will need to touch them up. They ought to throw in some freebies for your annoyance and stress, too. Let us know what happens.
probbaly something a good detailing job can't handle.
That's kind of what I figured as well. When they normally do their PDI don't they wax the car anyways? If it was me, I'd just have them try and buff them out first - if it still doesn't work then i'd take it further (ie: repainting, etc). Speaking from personal experience, I would rather them buff out a couple of scratches than start repainting a brand new car...
Again, just my $0.02 (or was it $0.0177 US Dollars)...lol
