Mini Therapy story from this weekend...

I cannot contain myself. I still LOVE this car (and I REALLY don't think my spouse is sick of hearing this... ). Yes, after 1.3 years I am still the kinda driver who gets excited for ANY reason to drive - return a movie, get milk (even though we don't drink milk, but I love the fake carton that Mini placed in the New Yorker about a year ago )... but I digress: having been stressed from school and a small apartment, I drove to Twain Harte in the Sierra for a weekend away with the books and the Mini. All I can say is that during a break I drove the most therapeutic 51 miles I've had in a long time, up hwy108 to Sonora Pass. Wow. No thoughts, no worries, actual inner peace came over me completely by surprise .
By the way - yeah I got stuck in NASTY traffic returning to the Bay Area Sunday night, but guess what - because it was so slow coming home I enjoyed an average of 43mpg in the MCS ... made the slow going even better as the bell began tolling for oil supplies...

Nice little essay, H&J! I find that just hopping into my MINI puts a grin on my face and running errands is so much fun....after 3 years of MINI-ownership! I cannot imagine NOT having a MINI! It is the best therapy!

Yes, therapy at it's finest. Driving has a whole new meaning since I got the MINI a few months ago. I, too, volunteer for the milk run. (Could I have been the one who emptied the last ounces down the drain just to create a milk run?) My family and friends tell me that when I'm in my MINI, I have a wide smile across my face. I know thy're right.

That's funny. My brother just told me the same thing.

Very nice - thanks for sharing your therapy with us... I think all of us feel the same way - I've loved going for drives my entire life and being able to motor in the MINI makes it even MORE fun!!!
