In California we can own more than one personalized plate, for a specified fee paid per year. Here is another one I ordered and received.

New Plate

Almost 6 weeks ago I posted my new vanity plate here. I thought it was obscure and I was right.

Most of my F1 fan friends knew right away what it was.

But a HUGE portion of everyone else thought it referred to a suggesting removal of the viewers pants.

So, a few weeks ago I made another request and I picked up these plates. Hopefully, I won't have the same problem with these plates. Actually, I'm pretty sure I won't.

I'm pretty happy with this one. I'll probably stick with it for a while.

So you could have more than one? Do you have to run a plate for a specific registration period, or could you just swap them as you please?

So I had to search your posts to see what it was. If it had, like, 1 more letter I would've gotten it.

Hopefully people will look slightly to the left to see what this one means.

I think so too but Missouri only allows 6 letters for some reason and with this one if someone doesn't know what it is, at least they won't think something odd.

Also, I added a link to my original post in my previous post. Good suggestion.

I'll take the blame for suggesting "unbutton me"

I think "unbutton me" is hilarious! I think that plates that make someone laugh are the best. My bf had a yellow S4 with plates that read "BANANA", hahaha.

Yes, you can own more than one plate.

No, you can't switch plates. I would have to go to DMV and have the plate of my choosing assigned to my MINI, or any car for that matter [e.g., if I sold the plate.]

I thought it was odd that they left the reg stickers on the plate that I was not using. But I wasn't going to say anything to cause me to hang around longer than I had too.

Maybe it's too much a hassle to remove the stickers so they don't bother.

Technically, the plates would still show up as registered to me so I guess that's why they are not too concerned.

Each year I have to pay a reduced fee to keep the unused plate, I think it's about $30.

Hello again, NAMers (ha ha ha -- NAMERs and NAM-ers. Man, I need more coffee this morning.)

Anyway, I just got a trailer for the MINI and wanted to get a special plate for it (like CorBlimey has done.) I have:

xUHOHx on my MINI
TRUUBLE on my truck
and I was thinking: LOKOUT or WCHMEGO on the trailer to keep kinda with the theme. I can have 7 characters, and LOOKOUT and LKOUT is already taken.

What do you guys think?

I've seen this on a small trailer being towed by an 80's VW Rabbit: PAYLOAD

But to keep with your theme, how about: WCHTHIS (watch this), TOYHALR (toy hauler)...

I like WCHMEGO too. I might think of more once I've had my coffee...

I like it! OK, so unless there are any other good suggestions, the two front runners (which aren't taken, by the way) are: WCHTHIS and WCHMEGO... Please DO let me know if you've got better ideas! (Or if these two can be taken a "wrong" way...)
