Hi red03minis,
Will be coming to LA in January-actually Anaheim, maybe I could take you up on the offer. It will be like taking your Mom out to lunch, only it will be my treat

No fair - they just came to Atl. and I missed them... heard it was a great show, though. I really do miss Christine McVie. The band doesn't sound the same without her. And that *is* one thing that my dad and I can agree on... actually, that's one of the few. We're still not seeing eye to eye on the MINI, but any snide comments from a person who drives the Bubblemobile aren't taken with anything but a grain of salt.

Clo,
It's a date. I've already met South Sea Sadie-what a blast we had-my hubby will be going to a convention & I'm going to tag along. I'll be pretty much on my own. Have street navigator will travel. I don't have the exact dates yet but it's usually around Super Bowl.

its not a girlie car or anything like that - I hate that gender slander as well...but I will say my car is a GIRL! It gets undevoted attention and most of my paychecks, I can't live without it, sometimes I even dream about it, its always there for me after a long day of work and loves to spend the weekends with me....so yup its a girl! (note to women - take this as a compliment as that is how it is intended)

LOL, using the MINI as an object to woo potential mates? Perhaps we need to start an Off-Topic: Sexuality Forum!

From my experience; 95% of all people really dig the car, and 5% totally loathe it. I'd say that would bump up your mating potential compared to your standard-issue Civic.

Good luck, keep us up to date!
Cheers,
Ryan

Great question, but alas, I am way too old to give you an accurate response!

Girls do like the friendly face of the MC and MCS though, should be a good conversation starter...

How about women love the performance....

(Of the car)

And hopefully of you, but I'm in no position to judge.

I think, yes, lots of people are attracted to MINIs.....young, old, male, female. IMO, as pertains to women, you're (...or maybe I should say I'm) as likely to get a reaction from a grandma as young lady. Women seem to like MINI's cuteness and style. Guys like it because its a sports car and is quick. Frankly, where I live there are enough MINIs now so that the initial gawks and double-takes are over. In a way, I'm glad for it.

In the end, its probably more about you...but your MINI won't hurt. I haven't gotten any reactions I would consider "funny." Generally, folks are positive. Good luck with the babes!

Since purchasing my MINI I have spent more time with the car than my wife. So in my case, I would say no, it doesn't attract them.

The MINI is definitely a conversation starter. I'm married so I've kept the conversations strictly 'friendly'. In the dating world, getting the conversation started is the hardest part, after that it is up to you. Good luck. Oh, and you should try to find a woman who loves your car but not only your car. (Old married guy advice.)

Cheers,

well, I didn't push the situation but once while parking the car at a movie theatre, my buddy who was waiting at the entrance with our tickets overheard a couple of hotties talking about me and my car.... well okay, the car...

anyway - the one says to the other, "I'd give that guy a blow-job to get a ride in that car." My buddy, who is only a few feet away from them, stepped up as I approached and said "You know, I think I can arrange that for you....", handed me the tickets, and just smiled. The girls gave me an angry face and ran away giggling....

I've not gotten that particular offer since then, but if needed I can be reached here via private message.

It has long been known that guys who have really big SUVs or pickups that are jacked up are compensating for something.

Be different...get a mini...buy a mac...take the road less traveled. Girls will like you for you and not your car (at least not any you may want to date). However, girls can be driven off by an overdone car.

A) Chicks like MINIs.

B) Why do you care? They'll be more attracted to you if you do what you want, as opposed to doing something to try to look cool. If you love MINIs, get one, and the rest will fall into place.

yeah.... MINI's attract girls into MINI's, think of it that way. With the exception of my Hummer friend, that's a good thing.

Countless high school girls drive next to me and yell "WE LOVE YOUR CAR!!!!"

If you don't even get that many more young girls coming up to you, you will just get attention from EVERYBODY as you drive by. Gosh, there are guys in Ferraris by me who stare at me more than I stare at them!

Im OLD and last night three girls/ladies came to my LY/B MCS and said it was a nice car

So with you being young I'm sure the ladies/girs will respond in the way you hope.
