>>You can call MINIs anything you want but my MCS is a rocket with wheels.

the mcs is cool and all, but i wouldnt call it a rocket

consider
the z3 roadster in M form
the corvette z06
boxter s
s2000

i could go on and on. the mcs is a fun car, but lets not get carried away, its no rocket, unless ur used to driving toyota echos all ur life

I agree with Clover. My MCS arrives in October and I'm not worried about who others think should or should not be driving it.

Instead, I'll spend my time worrying about those mornings when my wife leaves for work before I do and I discover the only thing left in the garage is her van!!!

tho my swedish gal friend did say i'd get run over by SUV's when i told her i'm gettin a mini
..i'm prolly safer in a mini then my '92 Sentra SE-R, imo.

There is no way that the MINI is a chick car!

My MINI does not do my laundry, cook my food, clean the house and be ready in the bedroom any time I desire. A good chick car would do all those things!

Oh I'm a lumberjack, and I'm ok
I sleep all night and I work all day.
I cut down trees, I skip and jump
I like to press wild flowers
I wish I'd been a girlie
just like my dear Mama

It's a MINI....those in the know understand that it appeals to both genders, all ages and "socioeconomic" backgrounds. Those that label it just don't get it, period, end of sentence.

I can't stand these "girl car" or "gay car" labels. To utter these statements shows a complete lack of awareness, manners and just plain brain power.

My husband is neither a girl or gay, and yet he loves my MCS so much, he just bought himself one to autocross, as I don't want to race my daily driver.

Let the infidels wander around in their haze of ignorance.... we know better, right??

You're lucky you retracted the laundry, cooking, cleaning, and bedroom line
or you would have been lynched. Most of us try to be nice on MCO.

Whatever this show was, boy did they get it totally wrong! (...how typical!) Guys seem to be much more intrigued by MINIs...most gals don't even seem to give it a glance. (...this based on careful observation...the car just sitting there as I watch reactions.) I do think, however, that most ladies who like MINIs are extraordinarily cool and I think that's great! (...y'all are very special!) Guys are the ones who seem to do the "360 gawk" though. I've seen this over and over. On another topic, this being a site for MINI enthusiasts, I think an occasional slam of another car is okay...I detect a lot of this is slightly tongue-in-cheek anyway. It usually doesn't really get nasty....I hope. I hate SUVs, but I have lots of friends who are SUV drivers and even though I think they're nuts
