Mcs manual ossues in India

Hi everyone!

Just purchased a 2005 Mini Cooper S Manual with about 50k KM about 7 months ago. Had a few problems but nothing too serious. This is the Mini I always wanted, Manual and supercharged so picked it up without a second thought. Here is a bit of the back story so you will understand my situation a little better.

I'm basted out of India (right hand drive) where the Mini brand was launched in 2009. And all the models that are available are automatic transmissions as BMW did not homologate the manual box for the Indian market. The makes the R53 with a manual transmission a rare car here. So with all cars 'rare' maintenance has become quite difficult. I sent it to the local BMW/ Mini dealer and get were not able to service the vehicle all car it did not exist in their system. They were not able to find the part numbers nor take responsibility for service. So now I am going to have to import these parts which might actually be saving a lot of money doing this as I want to upgrade to the JCW performance and cosmetic package.
So my questions to you guys are:

0. What parts should I order for a Right Hand Drive 2005 cooper S Manual to make it a JCW Cooper S?

0. Should I stick to the OEM parts on my or mix and match? I would like for it sound and perform like an original JCW(unless that is not recommended)

0. What parts should I keep in stock for the long haul? I would rather order parts like filters and break pads and what ever else and save on shipping.

0. Where is the best place to purchase from? Recommended dealers?

I will no taking this car to the track and have put 4K kilometres on it over the last 6 months

I thinks that was a long post but please beer with me. I really appreciate it.
Thanks!

That's a bummer they didn't release the manual in your area, but awesome to hear you were able to acquire one! What I recommend is taking a look at this site here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select. Put in the last 7 digits of your vin number in the box that says, "Serial Number." Once you do this you'll be taken to a page that breaks down each section of your vehicle. This will give you the part numbers you'll need. I always recommend OEM and Genuine replacement parts over aftermarket, with a few exceptions. You can order bulk basic maintenance items for your R53 here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...aintenance.htm. Check your brakes and determine how much life is left on them. Once you do that you can order our brake overhaul kits, that have everything you'll need for the front and rear brakes. You can keep the kit handy until it's time to do the replacement for the front and then the rear. Kits here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg1.htm#item0. If you need any other parts, you can search through our catalog here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...19_catalog.htm. We should have everything you need. If you do not find it searching through the catalog you can get the part number from real OEM and put it into our search bar and it should pull it up. If you have any issues let me know. We also sell tools, in case you decide to do all the maintenance work on your MINI yourself. We make that easy with our DIY tech articles here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...tech_index.htm and with the great help of this forum. Let me know if you have any questions.

The kit to make the car a "jcw" from an S was very $$$$$....about 5,000$ plus install....
You rich? It's a similarly you might be able to buy the parts separate but to go up to 210 hp with aftermarket parts is pretty easy...and about 20% the cost...
As for part # goto realoem.com
Put in your car info...and the BMW/mini part numbers will be listed....
Many parts a NLA...no longer available.... good luck.

What parts would you recommend for the R53 to end up with 210 bmp?
Is there a definitive list that exists? Help much appreciated. Getting lost and overwhelmed in this vast after market Mini universe.

Check out this NAM thread here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...orsepower.html. Post #3 gives specifics on what upgrades to go with on top of what the original poster has to get to the 200hp mark. I've seen individuals with their R53 at about 210whp with a cam, exhaust, tune, pulley upgrade and injectors. Just do some research and search through some threads on here and you'll find some more info.

You can also check out our performance section for items here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/Mini/cat...mance_main.htm.
For pulley upgrades I'd recommend Madness here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg2.htm#item6.
