My mini got a face lift!

Well the clear on my hood wasn't too good and I hated the white roof and I didn't like the wheels that came on it so I did this 😍 and then I just ordered new halogen lights to replace my overly priced xenons that broke lol

Out of curiosity, what year is it? It seems certain years had a problem with the clear coat peeling and making a horrible eye sore.

My 05/R50 had the whole rear bumper clear coat peal off and my 06/R53 the clear is starting to peal off on the back lid, there is a circle about the size of a quarter. I just got the R53, I will be taking care of that problem this weekend.

My friends R53 and mine have both experienced the clear coat peeling, 04 and 05 years seem susceptible to this. MINI screwed something up in those years

How are you planning on fixing it?

Also... Those lights! Wow, I want em!

Uhh yeah... MINI should be responsible for all repainting, but we all know that would never happen.

Yea, we have those right here ( Spyder brand ) but we dont include the halogen to Xenon conversion. We carry a couple other OEM style ones. Those come with dummy washer covers so you will loose the head light washer. Good luck on the install.

Its small enough in size for me to wet sand, get a can of clear coat, polish and buff it out. I've not been able to get to it yet. There has been a list of things I need to do with my new toy. I will take some before/after pics and keep you posted.

I just bought those from the same vendor, pro tuning lab, with the xenon conversion kit. They don't give you much in the form of instruction. My wife hit something and broke the plastic cover on passenger side OEM Xenon HID headlight. Water got in and everything got fried. Crazy what OEM headlights cost, $850.00 each???? I spent 375 on these aftermarket spyders + Xenon package and love the result. See for yourself...

NOTE: All of these R53 aftermarket headlights say something like "Will not work for OEM Xenon headlight package". Not true, totally worked out for me. They probably say that because they don't come with the headlight washers, just the faux cover. All I did was use the original little washer covers from my old headlights, clipped the headlight washers from my old headlights to the new headlights and viola! Headlight washers installed. Very plug and play. Aftermarket headlights will totally work with your Xenon package R53.

What they mean is that the bulbs and factory xenon ballasts and stuff won't work with the new headlights

It reads like they're saying it won't fit at all if you have a factory xenon package. Here's a screenshot of their "fitment" info...

Because it's easier to just say it won't fit then to say it will fit if you change everything else that's connected to the headlight harness and use different bulbs and disconnect the washer hoses and etc......

Paint the top 2 grill bars black and leave the bottom 1 red. Think about it.
