Is it possible to change the shift points, shift speed and profile of the transmission using software that I can purchase or can a tuning company do it.

 

There's a thread, or two, on NAM that said it was done by a company in So. Cal, but it doesn't go into detail. If I remember correctly, it wasn't RMW, but a shop in Orange County. If I have the posts bookmarked, or I find them, I'll post them here.

 

BlimeyCabrio posted some info in post #69. He's always been on the extreme end of R53/52 performance with an auto. Checkers is another.

How does this affect the transmission... does it raise the shift points, and/or will it hold gears until you want to shift, even if hitting the rev limiter?
