Exhaust Question

I have a 2003 S. The guy I bought the car from said it had JCW exhaust, but Im not so sure. Its 2.25 from the cat back to the Y, then its 2 from the Y to the mufflers, and 1.5 from the mufflers to the tips. Cant see any stamps on the mufflers. Seems too quite to be JCW. The resonator is also removed, and it has the ugly little coke can tips. Do you know if there are any markings on the mufflers identifying them as JCW?

It's pretty easy to tell a JCW exhaust from a stock MCS exhaust. 1. The exhaust is in 2 sections 2. The mufflers are polished stainless and the front section will have a resonator. 3. Tips are lazer etched John Cooper works.

Stock MCS. 1. One piece construction (no resonator after cat ) 2. Ugly Coke can tips

Hope this helps.

As has been discussed here before, the coke can tips and JCW tips are not interchangeable. If the stock tips fit, you know what that means!

easy way is to look underneath, Just encase someone modded the tips. JCW logod will be on the barrels
