Hey dazz here are the numbers for my bearings. The brand of both bearings is NTN
I did'nt work on my tranny this evening like I was suppose. So I'm not in it (mother at the hospital). I'll give you the numbers of the 2 huge bearings cause I don't remember which one is the primary or secondary.
The biggest is : 6307LLBC3/EM other number for same bearing : 6307LLBC3/L627
The smallest one : 6306LLBC3/EM other number for same bearing : 6306LLBC3/L627

Just to advise you that I did'nt have the time to check if they fit so...
Hope this help. I'll have a question for you and/or Jeffl when I'll work again on my tranny

I'm back, after inspection of the Inside everything looks fine. I'll wait for the friction discs to complete the rebuild. I have a few questions tough. After reinstallation we need to go to BMW for upgrade of tranny software?

I'm not sure on your cvt, but I did whats called a adaption. Mine was in pieces. Look up cvt adaption on youtube. when you put all back together and back in the car if it shifts fine then I would say no. Adaption is kind of like rebooting it. I bought the cable and software off ebay.

Ok thank's I'll wait to see then.
More questions if you don't mind. What stuff did you applied to seal the gear box? The stuff used to joint the 2 pièces of the case.
Which oïl did you put in the tranny and how many liters?

ok, I put her back together. No gasket maker. The torque sensor seems to be in the correct position, the switch hits the allen screw, but barely. It seems the head of the bolt I was using to hold it open when installing wasn't opening it up wide enough.

mni928, be VERY careful torquing down the bolts holding the case together. The first time I was using an impact wrench... snapped one off. Then tonight, I was using a torque wrench and even though it was snug and I could still turn it with not a lot of pressure, it sounded like it snapped but didn't... it just about did though! here is the result:

well, I've been successful... to a point. All back together, adaptations complete and the car drives excellent... except for one issue. Whenever I let off the throttle there is a noise, a fast clicking that is in sync with the speed of the car. It goes away as soon as I'm on the accelerator, even when barely touched.

contemplating my next move here, but because all of this is fresh in my head, may take it apart again. I think first I may try a new half shaft/cv joint.

Congrats but too bad for the noise :( I doubt it could be the half shaft cv joint.
Beside that did you put a sealant between cases of the tranny? Does it leak?

Sorry I just read that you did'nt put any sealant. So does it leak? I'm planning to start rebuilding this week.

even though mine doesn't leak, because there was issues when torquing down the bolts, I would suggest using a sealant. If I pull mine again, I will use some.

I would jack the car up and start it up then put in gear. Maybe you could find where the noise is coming from.

Done that Jeff, pulled the wheels, inner covers, and spun it in drive. Made sure all electrical was tied up and nothing touching where it shouldn't. Stethoscope to the trans is loud, although it's loud to most other locations as well.

dazz did you take care of the position of the pilot oïl tube that jeffl warned me about in page 1 of this post?
I just finished putting both cases back together and I used Volvo's chemical gasket. A pink stuff that makes a good job (usually) At this point everything looks and sounds fine. I just need the little seal for the parking brake shaft and I'm ready to put everything back
How much torque did your put on the bolts of the case? Did you torque following a specific pattern or with an X pattern?

Yes, I was very aware of the position of the tube. I didn't end up using a torque wrench, couldn't find anywhere what they should be. I just used caution because I have a habit of over torquing things... I'm really good at bolt extraction though!
Just make sure your gasket sealer is one that is oil resistant otherwise it turns to mush.

Hard to tell with the stethoscope, but while driving, it definitely seems to becoming more from that side. You think I should drain it and pop the cover to have a look?

Dazz did you change your friction discs? Are you sure everything was back at it's place concerning those discs? Tonight I just torqued the case bolts and the 2 big nuts of primary and secondary shaft. At this point the worst was to put back the inner parts in the friction discs.
