I add VP101 race fuel, about 25% before racing or Dyno to keep knocks down, that's all it's for. VP101 is a faster high octane fuel so has about the same power as premium with the added anti knock ability, some high octanes or slow burning AKA less power. Just what I learned.
I don't use any bottles of stuff. VP101 is $9.97 at the pump here, alot cheaper than say 104 oct boost.

Mostly a waste of $$$.
The "points" that are referred to on the bottles of octane boost is a FRACTION OF A FULL NUMBER ON THE PUMP...so if a bottle says it ads 4 points...you increased the fuel by less than ONE FULL NUMBER...so you made 89 more like 89.5 octane...Basicly a joke for the $$ spent.

Be very suspicious about those little bottles that are called "104 boost" or "99 boost". I don't think they don't mean the product will turn pump gas into 104 octane fuel. I think it is a marketing trick to encourage you to believe that... The times I have gotten an answer from the technical support department, they say the bottle gives an increase that ranged from 0.5 to 2.0 octane numbers (Varies by brand).
If you really need high octane fuel, stick with the race fuel like the previous poster mentioned or aviation fuel (if you are near a small airport) and mix it with premium gas to the octane level you want.

Luckily I have a gas station close by that sells 93 octane fuel.....so I've never needed any octane booster. I've heard mixed reviews on the stuff.
