Anyone in CA with reduced Pulley?
As the title states... I haven't done my research after all on being able to get a pulley shipped to me as it seems they're not CARB legal and CA being one of the states some vendors don't ship to because of this...
Anyone shed some light on this? This would be pretty disappointing if I can't get a pulley done on my car. (obviously if theres a will, theres a way)

They will ship it to you. Your car will pass smog with it. It just depends if the smog tech finds it during visual. So if you get a fancy shiny pulley tone it down. I painted mine black and now it has 5 years of dirt and grime on it. It looks like it has been on there since new.
I'm not for Ca, but if you paint the pulley black it will be really hard to tell even impossible if you are not a mini ''specialist''

Thanks guys Ill try that. I did read that only visual might be a problem, but the bigger issue is a lot of sites are saying they won't ship it to CA. Smog wasn't my worry, but getting the part to CA was my worry lol
Any suggestions on where I can get it? I was looking at just getting a package (pulley, plus, etc.)

Should not be a problem
I put a WMW 15% pulley on my R53 five years ago, it was hard to get the factory one off, but the car has never had a problem passing smog.
I also did a Dinan CAI at the same time, but that is CARB legal and has a sticker on it with the reg number so the smog guys don't get fussed.
As stated above, most of these pulleys come with a disclaimer that they are not for road use, but that's all they need to be saleable in CA.
Have fun and do it, it is a noticeable difference in fun factor.
