Steps to bleed coolant system

Ok I got the r53 running and it ran a little bit after I bled the coolant system the first time and today drove it back from paint and went back to work, got home and I saw it puked the coolant out from the reservoir. I am thinking there was still air in the system somewhere.. What are the actual steps to bleeding the system well. Thanks
