Oddments tray 51160395790

I know this part (circled and illustrated in red) is marked "no longer available" on many vendor's sites, but I was wondering if anyone out there in MINI-land had one of these that they are willing to part with, i.e., sell to me for inclusion into my '04 R53 ?

51160395790 is showing in stock for me on our website, ships in about 5 business days. Checked the data base too and it doesn't say it's NLA (always an exception though). Can try it out.

Its NLA and been for a while now for most distributors. MINI does not have them either since about before 2012.

Hey, I just had my order for the oddments tray cancelled by pelican (not in stock of course).

I have a pre facelift 04, are these all the parts I need for the upgrade? Would my existing leather boot attach to the new center console handbrake holder (or can I use the existing handbrake holder)?

I'd also probably pair it with the front tray under the toggle switches, no problem there right?

Thanks!

Does the parking brake boot still fit? Do we need a different bracket for it? My MINI is 08/2003.

Okay, according to the website, the newer style center console can be retrofitted, but it needs a different support bracket. Is 51167131830 the one?

I'm guessing he's talking about this rubber tray.

It's for the original design Center console. Just sits on top of the carpet between the gap from console to shifter.

I didn't realize how hard they were to find till people started asking me where I got it. Came with the car always surprises everyone.

So the mounting base and everything will fit a pre-facelift? Just need the bracket and I'm good?

Yes, you need the 2005+ parts and replace your pre 2005 parts.

I did the conversion a while ago. Didn't see the need to change the bracket. IIRC there was one screw that wasn't needed, but it's been solid for years.

I've got the oddments tray set (front of console and front of shifter) PM me if interested.

Does the new design block the TPMS reset switch? That's the only problem I'm still seeing.

The old design covers the switch, but if you have to use that button enough for it to be that much of a hassle to move a tray you have some other issues to resolve.

Contact Eric and go Old School!

You can easily move the rear tray if you have to reset the TPMS.

Wait, you're both confusing me. I'm not interested in the trays, I'm talking about upgrading the entire console tunnel to the new design that integrates the tray. It doesn't have a hole for the central TPMS reset switch, it has 2 on the outside.

Oh, this thread started talking about the trays for the original design, I didn't realize the OP had disappeared and we changed directions. My bad!

I would imagine it's just a matter of relocating the switch.

So one is for TPMS and the other is for PDC? That has a switch?
