2005 Cooper S - Wiring Connector...need picture/diagram to connect!!

A wiring harness was completely rusted due to salt and water. I decided to remove the clips to reconnect each wire individually. To keep it short, I lost the
pictures I took of the harness. So, I'm unable to reconnect. It's easy
when colors are the same but I have "extra" that I 'm unable to figure out.

I need a picture of both connectors? A diagram would also help.

Connector is located on the driver side under the plastic floor panel, close to the foot rest and fuses box. It connects every electrical devices in the car from the battery. It is strapped to the floor from the back seat to the fuse box.

It seems to power airbag, window, loc/unlock, winshield washer and motor...

Thanks

I just took my seats out to switch in some heated seats. I'll look for this for you. The picture you posted is the connector missing its mate? Or do you need to know what color wire goes where?

Most of the trouble in BC1 is related to this connection on the opposite side that becomes rusted on winter roads...

The forum doesn't like the big pics. Let me know if the resolution isn't enough.

Sorry to bring up an old post but I'm in the same boat as Thejamesjesse; I have water damage issues to that connector.

Thejamesjesse, can you share if you were able to fix this? I'm trying determine what terminals and pins I need to get to rewire that connector as well. Are they 2.54mm connectors or something else?

Did not find required pics

Hi there,

I ended up connecting all the wires directly one by one from each colors. Few remained (3). Note that depending on the model, some are not in use. The only thing that was some light in the dash. Once I test and tried the remaining, the light went off and I just wrapped the wires. Car was running perfectly with no issues what so ever.

I would recommend cutting one wire on each side of the connecter at a time, connect them manually (weld or connecters) and pass to the next one? Alleviate cutting them all at once.

Thanks for the response! I have thought about bypassing them but that would end up being a mess as you try to connect ~40 wires. I am thinking I could just pull out the wires, remove the corroded terminals and install new terminals on the ends and repair it that way if I can identify the pins etc. Maybe I will just have to bypass .. laying on the floor for hours with a soldering iron doesn't sound like fun though.

I had water damage in the same location and need to repin some of the wires in this connector. Does anyone in this thread have the wiring diagram for the connector? The onedrive link above has expired.
Also, does anyone know what size pin heads are used in this connector?

Thanks

Sorry to bring back a thread from the dead but my PO did exactly this. I was wondering if anyone knew what this connector was called so I can find it in a wiring diagram or if anyone has a wiring diagram of it?
