Obd lid question.

Hey all, I decided to install a Bluetooth OBDII scanner in my '04 mcs and want to leave it installed. But on the lid for the on board connection, there is a resistor of some sort. Should I ditch the Bluetooth and keep this lid on there or should it be okay?

i have yet to put my lid back on my cooper, and my BT obd thing has been off for months and months... no issues.

i dont think its a big deal. it probably just tells the computer the lid is closed or something...

I've got a good trick for you. You can pop the center part of the OBD connector out of the outer frame, and leave it tucked up under the dash connected to your monitor. Then close the little door and nothing gets in your way.
