GP center cluster/speedo in Cooper S?

As some of you may know I've been having some strange electrical issues that have been traced to a faulty center cluster, so since I'm buying a new one anyways I thought will a GP cluster work? I believe they are the same besides the gauge face, and they cost the same. Maybe ECS Tuning can help me out?
-thanks

They are compatible.

MINI used to require a GP VIN # if you wanted to order any exclusive GP part. It is probably still the case. If you can get new gauges, they'll need to be programmed by the dealer. If you find used gauges, there might be the usual issues with installing used gauges. The odometer or warning lights may not be correctly matched to your car.

It will be a brand new unit, not sure if a vin is required I'll have to check on it. Thanks for the response.

They will have to flash it to your VIN. Yea, think its the same except for the face. We can get most if not all GP parts.
