First let me say thank you to all the knowledgable people in the mini community who save those of us who are less knowledgable from spending tons of money and time trying to figure out the issues we are having.About a year ago i bought a 2005 cooper s with about 38,000 mile son it.Since then Ive done most of the preventative maintenance items suggested in these forums.Ive also added a CAI,exhaust,header,boost guage,pulley and a few other goodies.Its been 2-3 months since Ive done any wrenching on my car but about 2 weeks ago I got this strange whistley crunchy noise that seems like its coming from the passengers side supercharger horn.Ive done the screwdriver test and thats where its loudest.Ive also replaced the tensioner and a new belt and while I had the tensioner off I replaced the idler pulley and checked everything by hand to see if It was a bearing on something the belt turns.Im thinking its the supercharger but am trying to make sure before I drop the money.Also I havent had any problems with over heating yet.i found a you tube video where it sounds just like whats going on with my car so hopefully that will help someone figure it out.Thanks in advance .
