Old School Stripes

I got the itch to put some old school stripes on Dougal after seeing some photos.

1. After applying the "wreath", I ran 1.5" masking tape along the bottom window seal all the way out to the headlights.

2 & 3. Finished work.

Nope. I used masking tape as a guide for the vinyl tape.

Like that look good. Have some masking top out in tool box, don't if it is any good but it has parts (?) you can remove to make the same stripe with paint. Give me an Idea if it isn't all dried up.

Remember - the actual stripes are vinyl pinstripes. The masking tape was put on as a guide. I've never applied pinstripes before. I looked at lots of pictures of original Minis to gauge the wreath size and stripe placement. I settled on wreaths that are 4" across that I picked up from eBay. The stripes are off the shelf from an auto parts store. I also watched a few pinstripe application videos.
