Had to replace a leaky Valve cover gasket so I figured since I had the parts off, I might as well pretty them up some. i dipped the valve cover, intercooler deflector and fuse box cover in carbon and the oil cap in kevlar for a contrast.
Thanks Folks, Yes I did it myself as I have a part time business doing hydrographics , and we dabble in some custom wood products. The My dip kits are ok for smaller items they do as good job but you are limited by the width and depth of your tub. To do large parts with a lot of surface area such as a valve cover you have to have a width of film that is equal to both sides and the top of the cover in order get it all covered in one shot.
Looks great man! Make sure to post an update of how well it holds up to engine heat! Question... What plug wires are those? They look massive and way longer than most I have seen.
The wires are from Nology on a screamin demon coil.
I have done several covers for turbo honda's and a a few for small block chevy's used in drag and round track that have been in use for a couple years.
however on most every application I use automotive base and clears.
