metal/upgraded throttle housing to supercharger?

(2004 r53 jcw)
this appears to be a unicorn item?! I dug up some threads from 2009 that M7 was possibly making a metal version of the throttle housing to supercharger? i'm curious if anyone has any info on this

thanks

I don’t think it was ever made for a few reasons:

1. I think as a cast piece it would be pretty heavy and the stock plastic one does not really have much supporting it at the supercharger.
2. There’s two different part numbers for this part one for stick and one for automatics
3. MINI Owners are cheap as fuq

the plastic prolly would flow better than a metal, since it would most likely cast, then to get the same flow it would have to be honed, extra money for something that wont perform as good? hard to sell
