R50/53 Color Change?

Color Change?
So I had an R53 in indie blue for 10 years that came to an unfortunate end but was replaced with a really sweet R53 that I love. The only hang up I have with this one, is it's grey. The paint is in good shape but it's such a boring color. Has anybody changed the color on their mini? I'd love to have this one in indie blue, but I figure it's probably more expensive and more work than I really want to do/pay. Also what do you think a color change would do to the resale value? Of course it depends on the quality of the paint job which I would be sure to get the best I can.

SPOT ON
you can NOT change the color of the car and have it invisible unless you disassemble the car for the paint job.
COST PROHIBITIVE
when doing a full car restoration and the disassembly is happening already, different story.

or
I can re spray your outside for $1000
everyone will KNOW it was a re spray and it won't last long.
Have you considered a "wrap"

Highly recommend staying away from that stuff.... Yes, I have plasti dip on my spokes and bonnet scoop, but there is a bright pink chevy cruise that drives around where I live and it is absolutely hideous! It looks like absolute crap, they may have done it themselves and I know it is flat pink but you can see all the horrible marks, and whatnot. I don't even like it on my rims.... It's really a temp, or small application coverup. I would highly recommend staying far away from it.

Dipyourcar.com, check out the videos, etc.. and do some research, people having issues is usually due to bad / thin application.

dip can be very well done, just like painting, its all prep. my wheels look great too and for the most part so do my stripes.
plastidip is a very cheap alternative to changing the color. and theres many colors to choose from. but doing the whole car I would highly suggest doing it indoors in a well ventilated area. in a warm direct sun, it dries really fast making the finish hard. they also have glossifiers and pearlizers so you don't have to have the flat look. they also have an ultra gloss coming out sometime this quarter, just saw their teaser.
wrapping is also a good idea. most places the wrap will also give a lifetime warranty of fixing. a bit more expensive, but this should last longer than plastidip, and will be easier to clean.

Plasti Dip is easy to clean You can take a power washer to it.
Wrap is also good, but it is a lot more expensive, depending on how much you are wrapping. For instance if you do a roof with Plasti Dip Spray cans will probably suffice and you can do for 100.00 or less, no equipment to buy.
I am not against wrap by any means, have vinyl on one of my cars. There is someone on this forum who had his mini wrapped white and actually mentions that it is a little harder to keep clean then he thought it would be

I'm painting my car. You don't have to hit it. But you do have to take it apart. The bumpers, hood, fenders and cowl should be removed and painted off the vehicle. The trim should be removed. The gas cap removed. The door jams and trunk need to get sprayed, and the underside of the hood. When everything is dry the vehicle then gets reassembled. It is a lot of work. But can be done. I was in a wreck. My dark silver mini now has a light blue hood, dark blue bumper and silver cowl. I need a lot of paint anyway so I'm going for a nice blue grey non matallic and fresh coat of black on top. And all new black plastic trim.
