Show me photos of your front shock / strut tower brace, please.
I decided to put my JCW airbox back in my car, and the strut tower brace that I have will not work with the JCW Factory Airbox.
Please post photos of your strut tower brace installed, so I can see which ones will work with the JCW style box, even if you do not have a JCW airbox please post a photo anyway.
I formally had the MINI Mania Unit with their CAI intake.

VIP Brace + JCW Box
'05 S with JCW airbox and VIP strut brace.
The craftsmanship and attention to detail are great. The tower plates are contoured to fit the towers, not squared off notches around a curved ridge. The custom T nuts make it so the plates are not recessed at the holes, leaving the plates at full thickness.
The hood padding did need slight compressing, but my car only had about 10K miles at the time. I sprayed the pad with water, then shut the hood and drove around to heat everything up. After a few times the padding molded itself around the bar and the hood line at the cowl was not bulging.
The only thing I really don't like about it is the VIP logo is machined into both plates, and the bar. Will post pics tonight.

Why yes it is...fits in with lots of room with the other JCW parts. Yes, you still have to remove it to service the Air Filter, but I really like this one... I intend to back fill the JCW relief in the middle with some Chili Red Paint, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
