MAP sensor vacuum line.

Well, I broke the vacuum line that comes from the S/C intake duct and runs up to the MAP sensor. It broke at the top where the plastic sleeve is that fits onto sensor. For some reason the red retaining clip wasn't letting go so when I was pulling it loose it snapped.

(had I known it would have been easier to pull the sensor and release the vacuum line from there I would have done that)

I can't seem to find one anywhere, but I'm not sure if I'm using the correct search terms. It's the grey vacuum line on the right side of the intake duct.

I did the same thing! It goes to the MAP sensor. I forgot where I ordered it from but mini sells the line for 18 bucks. I searched this site and found it. When you take of the map sensor there is little black cap. you should remove that bc the new hose comes with one.

Thanks. I called the dealerships and none of the guys in the parts department spoke English very well so they couldn't figure out what the hell I was trying to tell them on the phone.

I just ended up going up there and showing it to them. Cost me $19.

Just for future reference in the parts guide it's "pipe for manifold air pressure sensor" part number 11 65 1 504 943

Also, you can't buy the red retaining clips, they come integrated to the intake duct which is like $150 or something obscene like that.

OP, It's funny you're posting this right now.

I just bought the hose and intake duct (along with MAP and TMAP) to try and get rid of my 1498 code next week.

What were you changing/fixing/upgrading when you broke the hose?
