Code reader

I am having issues with my passenger air bag light, I spoke with mini and they said even if it is just a loose connection I will have to have my computer reset this will cost me $150. I was looking on line and found a few code readers for around $100. am i able to clear codes with a code reader? If so does anyone have one they have used and has worked? If so what brand?

I believe you have to have the bavtech tool to reset an airbag.

I have a scangauge 2 and it will read and clear most codes, just not the airbag codes.

Post up where you are located, maybe there's a forum member that had the right tool and would be willing to help you out and clear the code.
