Air distribution actuator linkage

Air distribution actuator linkage
Hi everyone! Finally picked up a 2004 R53 at a great price to be my DD while I try to keep the mileage off my 2009 135.
The first thing I noticed with the car the other day is that I have no heat. I ran the diagnostic test on my auto climate control that I read about on the forum. It stopped on FF-01 and I just heard a constant clinking coming from right behind the climate control unit.
I pulled that apart and found that the linkage that the air distribution actuator was trying to move was bound up. I can't find yet where it is bound up but it appears to be way behind the dash where I can't get to.
#2 in the diagram:

I'm currently in the process of removing the dashboard completely and I wanted to check and see if anyone has run into this problem and if so where the linkage ended up being bound.
It appears the actuator is working fine because when I disconnected the actuator from the linkage and reran the diagnostic test the gear moved just fine. It's definitely the linkage.
Thanks in advance!

That's in the back corner there. One thing is there is a linkage set of small parts.
There is not many small parts you can buy , it one set of all the actuators and flaps. Match up if you find one of those broken.

The motor has that split year 04/2004 for car with auto air. So keep that in mind if it is something wrong internally with the rear motor. Or a tooth missing.
Thanks and good luck.

Thanks for that! You guys probably know me by name a CC number LOL. You have been my vendor of choice for my N54 1 series for years! I've bought a good bit of stuff from you for the Mini so far as well....just got the Bentley manual from you! Lowest price I could find with free shipping!
Cost of the linkage if I need it is pretty reasonable. I'll put it in my wish list
Thanks for continuing to be awesome!
