Drivetrain Clutch Question R53

R53 Compare
First post.
My clutch is completely gone and I am looking into upgrading to a performance clutch/flywheel. I was wondering if any one had any insight on either the Madness Stage 3(ACT manufacturer I believe) or the one I just saw on here from South Bend clutch; maybe the Stage 2 Street.
Thanks in advance.

Make sure that its not your slave cylinder that is toast.
We wouldn't know since you just said it was toast, but just check.
In my opinion, do ACT street fly and OEM clutch.
You probably will never need anything over that unless you're pushing more than 275whp.
My stock clutch has lasted 45k miles at 255whp with out a problem. I plan on doing ACT street fly and OEM again. if you're going aftermarket, go big or go home. OS Giken clutch and fly.

Welcome....
Which "first post" is the first? When you cross post the same question (6 times I think)...folks tend to tune out...
More info is needed...
How will you use the car, any mods? If so, how much HP? Going with a lighweigh single mass clutch conversion?
south bend is new to the mini market....many HP clutches have come and gone....but the stock will do fine till 225-250 HP to the wheels.....

Yeah I posted from my phone, and kept getting error messages. I guess all went through. Right now I am completely stock but am looking for somewhere around 250HP when all said and done. I bought the car used and the clutch was iffy from the start. It is completely dead now. So I wanted to buy for my future mods and get the lightweight single mass/ beefed clutch since I'm going to be dropping the bad one out anyway. It will be a weekend only vehicle until I get some mods done, then I might look into some light track days, if I can find any in my area.

dude. stop posting 8 different ways. we all see your posts, but its nearly obvious you have done little to no research before posting the same thing so many times... possibly why nobody has bothered to answer. its annoying for one...
fwiw,
stock clutches are known to be great, and useable up to nearly 300 hp if i remember correctly. start going with those upgraded ones and you usually get "chatter" from the clutch / flywheel so ive read.
the higher "stage" clutch you go, the harder normal driving will be; you dont want to have to dump the clutch at 3 and 4k rpm to take off from a stop light every time.
if you must spend the money, go with a stock clutch and possibly a lightweight flywheel. if its not a daily driver and more of a race car, go for the staged clutch setups.

A few lbs is a lot when you are dealing with rotational mass... People go for lighter crank pullies on other cars to save a few ounces

But on the mini the mass gives you a bit more tq when starting out...it is saved energy...but you end up with a less revvy car, but much better for hill starts and stop and go...
Like all things it is a compromise....
Roting mass can be saved on both the crank damper (false sense of economy IMO) and the flywheel....but go too light...and standing starts are tuffer...and some chatter...

I would also look at OS Giken GT clutch and limited slip (if you do not already have LSD).
