We'll get more pictures/videos when there is more to fix. I know this trend

I'm always quasi interested in the sound of new headers/exhaust because my whole system is looking a bit over cooked. Possibly one of the few looking for quietness tho. I really can't stand much more noise at 70mph for usual 5 hour long trips.

Aux port/ usb port... and will have it programmed so that it will turn on with acc, on and turn off when it see no power from the charger.

Are you gonna keep the original chrome and the nexus will go behind? or build a new chrome facia?

I'd been thinking about throwing in an iPad Mini, Although i don't have the nav package, so i'd have to buy a speedo..

Is the nexus easy to program? It's smaller than an iPad mini right?

right now, i have the parrot classic which works great for nav since, i bought the "hot spot" for my iPhone.. the parrot has the android operating system and uses the bluetooth hot spot, to access the internet.. but, its such a small screen.. and it's kinda slow..

cool thing about it, it will read any size SD Card… so i have my entire music collection and all of my books on the SD card with voice search, I say "Beatles" "love me do" and the song starts playing...

having said all that, i await your progress.. cool idea!!

Hey Guy,

I wondered if you've been using your EBC Redstuff yet?

You're hard to keep up with all your modding. I've done a few things recently. I finally got a SC Pulley from Way, and an ATI Damper, LCA Bushings too. And I'm getting ready to do brakes really soon.

Cool that you got your exhaust all sorted too. I bet that sounds awesome!

yea im goign to make it look as stock at possible. dash is going to look the same. the acutal visible screen area of the nav system is the same size as the screen area as the nexus. the only thing that wont work are the cameras and light sensor. on the nexus.

im not sure on the size of the mini.

how will you "program" the nexus 7? i was able to download an app for my android phone running torque so that there would be no lock screen, so that it would power on with acc, and sleep when the car is turned off.

however, the issue i run into, is that the phone only sleeps, does not fully power down, so eventually after 5 days at most the phone is dead, regardless of how much driving i do (charges while driving).

will you be able to get the nexus tablet to fully power down, then fully power up when you turn the car off and on?

Im picking up some OZ ultraleggeras tomorrow. Found a good deal. But brand new you can find a set for just over a grand. Multiple colours (I think graphite silver would look good on your car) and they are LIGHT. Im getting 17" they weigh 16 lbs. Any mini rim that size will way 22+

As a side note. I think replacing your headlights should be a priority I can't stand dirty foggy headlights.

Just noticed you have the standard "I-don't-want-holes-in-my-bumper" license plate mounting system! I can definitely recommend the cravenspeed tow hook mount. Fit perfect and was easy to install. Looks pretty cool too.

Side note - just got done pulling everything but the engine in order to slide my megan header in. My factory one came totally apart in the same spot yours did.

You should check out USB-ROM for your tablet install (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2469140)

I'm running it on my 1st gen Nexus 7 that I have installed in my dash. I needed support for my USB DAC and the deep sleep on power disconnect works great (tablet turns on and off with ACC).

So i installed the new belt tensioner i had got a while back. and as the saying goes out with the old and in with the new.... or is it "crap"?

What an ordeal it was to change this damn thing out.... had to remove the whole passenger side mount, wheel liner, and getting to those bolts, isn't easy. Then putting the new one on, you literally have to put all the bolts in at the same time because for some very strange reason they wont line up . Then when i was putting the tensioner on a little tighter( moving the pin to the second hole) the whole damn stop tab with the holes broke off.... used a block of wood to hole the tensioner open while i put the belt on, but what crap.... At least the new dampener works for now lol.... But thank god i have a tensioner stop other wise i would have just quit, and poured gas all over the car and lite it on fire.

here is the new one... from back a few pages....

and the old

and the stupid tab the fell out of the new tensioner.... i guess ill just have to guess how tight the belt is, and when i lose boost, its time to change the belt...
Name: temporary_zpsf5404fcf.jpg

and since i had the mount out i thought i would try and put the big washer back in that i had trouble with the first time i installed the poly mounts.

see how i had it

So i installed my new rotors and pads.... first impressions are good. ill update when they brakes have bedded in and i really test them out..... one thing i noticed is that there is a ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk ssiikk when moving at slow speeds (about 30 and slower) this is most likely the pad going over the slots. i hope that goes away once the brakes are bedded. i have never used slotted brakes before so i dont know what to expect.

to bad they cant stay looking black....oh well...

I'm due for new rotors soon, keep us in the know about the noise. Also, I see you've really caked the back of the pad with brake grease :P

will do.... my old rotors are still good so im going to keep them on the side for a just in case situation.

EBC says 1000 miles to "break in" we'll see. i may just go and do a race bedding to speed up the process.
