Thanks DW. The splitters are custom and I'm getting about 14-15 psi at the top of the RPMs. Never see that from daily driving though. Daily driving is around 10-11psi. I wanted to install an oil pressure gauge but currently no room for it on the other side of the tach because of iPhone mount. Night install one under the accessory switches.
Drilling holes on my roof. Wish me luck. If you don't see any updated pictures tonight, it's likely because I screwed it up and I'm in a corner somewhere crying.
Big thanks to MINIPARTSMASS.COM for hooking up a great price on the roof rack and throwing in a model car and a few other trinkets. Great company to deal with and highly recommend them.
I request a parts list and DIY for the filler door! :-)
I bought mine used on the classifieds but You can either hit up your local dealership, junkyard, or keep a look out in the classifieds as well. It's basically the door assembly and the color matched door. Below is an R56 instructions but it follows the same method.
Looks like only 2 pieces:
51 17 7 061 286 Cap
51 17 7 033 498 Hinge
Ordering now... :-)
Fantastic.
One tip that I wish I did when removing my gas cap, start at at step 5, loosening the filler neck. Gives you more room to wiggle your original one off.
Good luck! I definitely like mine without the chrome gas cap.
Evasive, how thick is the skid plate in all honesty...i need one but if its not that thick i'm just gunna have my buddy fab one up in his shop...not trying to bust another oil pan over speed bumps.

It's been a pretty busy week for the MINI and I. My throw out bearing is starting to go so I decided to replace it before it grenades and makes a mess of the transfercase. Also picked up stainless steel brake lines, powerflex LCA bushings, and Megan coilovers.
Very impressed with the craftsmanship of the coilovers. I installed the rears but still waiting for the clutch to arrive before I can work on the fronts.
Difficult to see, but I pulled the plastics side panels of the rear interior so I could drill a hole for the dampening extensions to fit through.
SS brake lines by OrmeBros. Very nice quality.
The MINI in half glory...
Cleaned this up a bit. There was quite a bit of oil caked in the housing from my crankcase sensor leak that managed to seep inside the housing.
That's it for now. The clutch and LCA should be in this afternoon, so it will be a busy weekend for me.
