Hello,

What's the purpose of the plastic guard(?) on the underside of the driver's side wiper? Noticed only the driver's side has this. At first I thought the guard fell off or was left off my passenger side wiper but after checking out several other MINI's this appears to be standard.

Just curious...thanks

At highway speeds, this helps to keep the wiper from chattering by using this device like a windfoil to help it stay in contact with the window.

Makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply. Wonder why MINI doesn't supply this on both sides?

since the drivers side wiper travels toward the trailing edge of the windshield it has more of a chance to vibrate or chatter at higher speeds. the passenger wiper travels toward the center of the windhsield and therefore would mostlikely stay in place at higher speeds...i think
